Index:  Circuits & Layouts:  Eprom Programmer:  Schematics and layouts...

These layouts place higher requirements on the board production since the circuit traces as well as their distances are partially only 0.008 inch (=0,20 mm) wide. So they are published only in the Eagle file format and not in GIF format. The GIF graphic file models do not provide the high quality of a direct Eagle file printout.

IMPORTANT: This circuit is under copyright by the company Batronix. You can build and use it for your own puposes but you are not allowed to trade with your own rebuilds!

The schematic and layout in EAGLE format:

For the schematic and layout plans you need the highly recommended schematic and layout editor EAGLE. A free english version can be downloaded at http://www.cadsoft.de/freeware.htm.

 Download schematic and layout
 (packed Eagle files, 26 KBytes)

Please note: If your browser has any problems with downloading the file, right-click the link and select "Save target as..." or "Save link as...".

Schematic in GIF format:

The schematic GIF is really big, therefor we have inserted a link to a seperate page with the graphic.

List of parts:

The list contains all necessary parts. Additionally, you will need a DC power supply with a voltage from 14 to 20 volts which can provide 100 mA (DC) or more and a printer extension cable to connect to the parallel port of your PC. A cheap, unregulated power supply with a nominal voltage of 12 volts may be sufficient. When loaded with such a low load, the output usually reaches the necessary 14 volts.

The EPROM socket should be a ZIF (zero insertion force) socket (like ELK632 in our shop). It will protect the EPROM's pins from being bent or broken when inserting or removing the E(E)PROM.
