The compact design of the PMK PML 711A-RO probes with 2.5 mm diameter at the tip facilitates measurements on dense SMD circuits by providing a better view of the component.
The low input capacitance loads the measuring point with only 9.5 pF. Lower loads are achieved without restrictions only with active probes.
Especially when measuring signals with fast rise times, the adaptation of the probe to the measuring point often plays a decisive role.
Long cables introduce additional inductance and resonance into the measurement circuit and thus falsify the measurement result.
To counteract this problem, the PML series probes come with both a PCB adapter and a IC contacting system for the 2.5 mm probes.
