Features
Performance and usability in a compact size Outstanding spectral purity, very high output power and comprehensive functionality are impressive features of the R&S SMB100B. The new R&S SMB100B RF signal generator is all about performance and versatility in a small footprint combined with comprehensive functionality and very simple operation.
Perfect for output power Ultra high output power of 34 dBm (meas.) at 1 GHz.
The R&S SMBB-K31 high output power option provides 28 dBm at 1 GHz and 24 dBm at 6 GHz (measured values) - easy keycode activation.
Ultra high output power of 34 dBm at 1 GHz and 31 dam at 6 GHz with the additional R&S SMBB-B32 ultra high output power option (measured values).
The R&S SMB100B offers various options for outputting or receiving reference signals.
The variable external reference frequency input from 1 MHz to 100 MHz allows the R&S SMB100B to be flexibly integrated into existing measurement environments.
The received reference frequency can also be output via a separate reference output (see data sheet for details).
Maximum phase stability among multiple R&S SMB100B can also be achieved with the optional 1 GHz reference frequency input and output.
Refresh your T&M equipment.
If individual pieces of equipment become obsolete before the same is true for the entire ATE system, regular calibration and repair of obsolete equipment becomes an expensive, time-consuming and complex task.
Replacing obsolete test equipment with equivalent state-of-the-art equipment should be straightforward and require minimal hardware and software changes.
R&S LegacyPro code emulation meets these requirements, reduces the workload and eliminates risks.
An R&S NRP power sensor can be connected to the R&S SMB100B.
Rarely is the DUT connected directly to the generator. Rather, cables and other components are connected between the generator and the DUT.
As a result, the reference plane is shifted from the RF output of the generator to the DUT.
An R&S NRP power sensor can be connected to the R&S SMB100B for high-precision calibration at this new reference plane in the tenth dB range.
Compensation of an external frequency response by the R&S SMB100B with a connected R&S NRP power sensor.
DUTs often have to be connected to the signal generator via long cables and other frequency-dependent components.
It is therefore essential to compensate for the frequency response. The R&S SMB100B provides a user correction function (UCOR) for this purpose.
In conjunction with the R&S NRP power sensor, the UCOR values are automatically determined at the push of a button.
With UCOR, a frequency-response-compensated RF signal is available at the new reference level.
