A special ammeter design is used to precisely measure current drains from nA to A in one pass – no need to make multiple measurement sweeps. The short recovery times enable the instruments to handle fast load changes when mobile communications devices switch from sleep mode to transmit mode. Every detail is detected down to 2 μs resolution with high speed data acquisition. R&S®NGU source measure units have two- or four-quadrant architecture to function both as a source and a sink.
Both the two-quadrant devices and the four-quadrant devices deliver up to 60 W output power, or can do so Record them.
Due to the linear design of the output stages, this series enables source and sink operation with minimal ripple and noise.
The R&S®NGU201 source measure unit is tuned for battery drain analysis of any battery-powered device up to 60 W, including mobile phones, tablets and IoT devices, for example. Furthermore, it can be used for battery tests and simulations, thanks to its adjustable output impedance and optional battery simulation tool.
The R&S®NGU401/R&S®NGU411 source measure units are the specialists for semiconductor testing. They are designed for general-purpose applications that span many different industries and many different devices under test. Both source measure units can act as bipolar power supplies or bipolar electronic loads.
