Description

The R&S® Scope Rider RTH1024 combines the power and functionality of a laboratory oscilloscope with the form factor and robustness of a battery-powered portable one, making it the ideal tool for debugging embedded designs in the laboratory and analyzing complex problems in the field.

Small sensor signals can be analyzed with the high vertical sensitivity of 2 mV / div. The trigger & decode capability for serial Protocols make debugging digital control signals an easy task. The 14 digital trigger system offers the highest sensitivity available in its class and enables exact triggering on any signal details. With its 33 automatic measurement functions, the analysis of signal parameters is as convenient as a laboratory oscilloscope.

The R&S® Scope Rider RTH1024 gives you more than just an oscilloscope. It includes a logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, data logger, digital multimeter, Spectrum analyzer, harmonic analyzer and frequency counter. Special operating modes for frequency analysis, mask testing and long term acquisition are also integrated.

Special Features

Logic Analyzer

Measurements on motor drives require up to four analog measuring channels. For monitoring digital control interfaces, conventional oscilloscopes leave no channel free. The R&S® Scope Rider's Digital Logic Probe (MSO) provides eight additional digital inputs to analyze control signals in time correlation with the analog channel signals. With 250 MHz bandwidth, 1.25 GSa/s sampling rate and configurable thresholds, it can be adapted to almost any digital interface.

Protocol Analyzer

Serial protocols are often used for control signal transmission. The R&S®Scope Rider is the first digital Handheld oscilloscope with galvanic isolation, which allows deeper troubleshooting with functions for protocol triggering and decoding. Thanks to targeted triggering on log events or data relevant Events, data and signals are selectively recorded. Thanks to the support of serial protocols (I2C / SPI, UART, CAN / LIN, CAN-FD, SENT) the R&S® Scope Rider can be used in typical Laboratory and mobile applications such as automotive Segment.

Data logger

Sporadic interference of a sensor signal or rarely occurring glitches in a power supply can lead to complex system errors without the cause being immediately recognizable. To uncover such rare mistakes, the long-term data logger of the R&S® Scope Rider can monitor up to four important measurements at a measurement rate of 1, 2 or 5 measurements per second. The large memory accommodates 2 million readings per channel and allows the recording of measurement signals for more than 23 days. The statistics display provides information on minimum and maximum values with exact time.

XY-Mode

The relative phase of two signals can be measured in a special XY mode. The temporal progress of the individual signals is also displayed.

Mask Mode

The mask test mode shows the pass / fail statistics and allows easy generation of masks based on measurement signals.

Digital Multimeter

The R&S® RTH1002 dual-channel model includes an additional digital multimeter channel. It can measure V DC, V AC, V AC + V DC, resistance, continuity and capacity as well as current and temperature (when using suitable accessories). The four-channel model R&S® RTH1004 enables digital voltmeter measurement across all four oscilloscope channels. The statistics display shows middle, minimum and maximum values with the respective time stamps.
