The R&S® NGA100 device family consists of four models with a maximum total power of up to 80 W and a continuous voltage range from 0 V to 100 V. The single-channel model R&S® NGA101 delivers a maximum of 6 A, while the two-channel model R&S® NGA102 delivers a maximum of 2 A per channel. In the dual-channel models, the outputs can be switched in parallel or in series to increase the voltages or currents.
The channel outputs are galvanically isolated and separated from the protective earth conductor.
The voltage, current and power values are shown on a brilliant QVGA display.
Useful functions such as staggered channel switching, EasyArb and EasyRamp functions that can be programmed directly on the device, an analogue input for external control of voltage values, an external trigger input for switching channels and arbitrary steps, extensive logging functions and an integrated energy meter are important for developers and industrial users.
The R&S® NGA102 power supplies offer a range of protection functions to protect the device and the measurement objects from damage. The user can set the maximum current (electronic fuse, overcurrent protection/OCP), the maximum voltage (overvoltage protection/OVP) or the maximum power (overpower protection/OPP) separately for each channel. When this limit is reached, the affected channel switches off. Overtemperature protection (OTP) prevents the device from overheating. The switching technology ensures high efficiency with minimal heat dissipation, even under full load.
In industrial applications, power supplies are often installed in 19" racks. The R&S®HZN96 rack mounting kit is available for this purpose, which can even accommodate two devices of this class side by side.
Additional connections for all channels (including the sense lines) are located on the rear of the device, which simplifies use in system cabinets.
The power supplies can be controlled via LAN or USB.
