With increasing data rates, broadband communication technologies are becoming increasingly important. The SSG6082A-V offers a modulation bandwidth of up to 1 GHz and excellent in-band performance thanks to precise factory calibration, making it suitable for a wide range of communication test scenarios. The SSG6000A-V series is characterised by extremely low phase noise, achieving -132 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset for a 1 GHz signal. Higher spectral purity reduces measurement errors and improves the accuracy and reliability of test results. In wireless communication, signals with low phase noise help to minimise the bit error rate (BER) and thus increase the stability and reliability of the transmission.
With a maximum frequency of 8 GHz and a maximum output level of 30 dBm for CW signals, the new generator serves both as a high-precision RF source and as a carrier for modulated signals. Its wide frequency and power range fulfils the demanding test requirements of many modern communication systems.
As mobile devices evolve and functionality increases, so does the demand for higher data rates and greater coverage. This requires more complex signal generation to validate device performance. SigIQPro is an essential tool for communication testing and is specifically designed to generate high quality, complex modulated and protocol specific signals. The planned upgrade of SigIQPro will extend the functionality and enable the generation of LTE FDD/TDD, 5G NR and additional WLAN signals. These additions will extend the existing functionality, which already includes Bluetooth, IoT, custom IQ and OFDM signal types
