Description

Thanks to the enormous heating power of 300 watts, the FR-400 enables the processing of previously almost unsolvable desoldering and soldering tasks on printed circuit boards with high heat capacity and dissipation.

The current state of technology is making it increasingly difficult to desolder PCBs designed for high currents. Here the high heat capacity and strong heat dissipation of components and assemblies is a typical development in the high-resistance, low-voltage range. Sometimes it is necessary to work on the solder joints with two people, with one person using a soldering iron to melt the solder at the joints, while the other person removes the solder from the other side. With the FR-400 desoldering station, this task can be carried out by one person.

The FR-400 offers a significant improvement in the rework process of printed circuit boards designed for high currents.

Upgraded desoldering nozzles

Safe desoldering, valve function with high suction power. Suction starts 0.2 seconds after the trigger is pressed. The high pressure high pressure built up in this way enables complete desoldering.
Improvement of the heating element. The heating zone for the rear part of the heating element has been extended to ensure that the solder sucked in remains liquid right into the filter and does not cool down en route and clog the nozzle.
ACF (Anti Clogging Function). The pump continues to run for one second after the trigger is released. This This function ensures that the extracted solder is carried into the filter tube.
Reduction of solder clogging due to improved heating core. The additional protective device prevents a drop in temperature of the heating core due to contact with the front holder and reduces clogging of the solder.

Simple heating element replacement

Tip life increases exponentially by using a lower tempearture for a shorter time, as shown in the graph. HAKKO tips last longer than other brands thanks to the intelligent heating hystem and the sleep & hibernation functions.
