Description

The ADC-20 high resolution data logger is a multichannel, high-accuracy USB data logger for use with PCs. Features such as true differential inputs, galvanic isolation and software-selectable sample rates all contribute to a superior noise-free resolution. The 8 channel ADC-20 is equipped with a 20-bit A/D converter, and can maintain a gain error of 0.2%. The four true differential inputs may be configured as eight single-ended inputs or any combination in between, such as two differential and four single-ended.

Power and connection to a PC or laptop is through a USB 1.1, USB 2.0 or 3.0 port. Using our PicoLog data logging software, you can record, monitor and analyze collected data, even exporting to third-party applications such as Microsoft Excel.

PicoLog software is free to download from www.picotech.com/downloads and can be used with any laptop or PC running Windows, macOS or Linux.

An expandable data acquisition system with multiple channels

Both the ADC-20 and ADC-24 feature true differential inputs for excellent noise rejection. To give you a very flexible system each differential input can also be configured as two single-ended inputs. With up to eight differential or 16 single-ended inputs on the ADC-24, this flexibility gives you complete control on what type of inputs you use. If you require more channels, you can use multiple PicoLog data loggers on the same PC.

With seven bipolar voltage ranges, the ADC-20 and ADC-24 are also flexible enough to be used with a wide range of sensors and signal types. There's also an external terminal board with screw terminals to allow you to quickly connect and disconnect different sensors.

Additionally, the ADC-24 has four configurable digital input/output channels that can be used to control alarms or other devices.

The flexibility of the ADC-20 and ADC-24 allows you to use these precision data loggers as an advanced multichannel data acquisition system with a low cost per channel.

External terminal board

The ADC-20/ADC-24 Terminal Board is designed for use with the 8-channel ADC-20 and 16-channel ADC-24 High-Resolution Data Loggers. For simple applications, you can simply connect sensor wires to the screw terminals on the terminal board, without the need for soldering. For more advanced applications, the Terminal Board enables you to design, offset and extend the input ranges and build sensor circuits that condition measurements for the data loggers to process.

Intuitive devices and channels

From the Devices view, you can easily set up a multi-channel logging system with the option to use up to 20 different Pico data loggers at the same time. PicoLog shows you a picture of each connected device. This allows you to quickly and easily activate and deactivate channels and set their properties. The picture shows the device setup for a PicoLog 1216 and a TC-08 temperature data logger.

PicoLog Software

All Pico data acquisition products come complete with PicoLog 6. This powerful yet flexible data acquisition software allows you to collect, manipulate, analyze, display and export data.

Designed from the ground up to be intuitive from the outset, PicoLog 6 allows you to set up the logger and start recording with just a few clicks of the mouse, whatever your level of data logging experience.

From here, starting a capture is simple: plug in the logger, add a channel, press Record, and you’re logging! PicoLog 6 also includes a number of additional features to cater for more advanced data logging needs.
