The LBE-1421 is a high-precision, GPS-disciplined reference clock source with two independently programmable outputs for generating long-term stable and low phase noise frequency and time signals.

It combines the long-term stability of a GPS-locked source with a high-quality TCXO oscillator whose stability performance approaches that of an OCXO – but with significantly lower power consumption and almost immediate operational readiness after switching on. This makes the LBE-1425 ideal for frequency calibration and as a stable RF reference for measuring instruments, signal generators, SDR systems, mixers, frequency multipliers, and other demanding applications.

Long-term stability is determined by the GPS time standard (UTC, atomic clock-based) and typically reaches 1 × 10⁻¹² (≈ 0.000001 ppm) in GPS-locked mode. A high-quality internal TCXO optimizes short-term behavior and ensures very low phase noise and RMS jitter in the sub-picosecond range (typical, depending on the integration band).

With a multi-stage digital/analog PLL, the output frequencies for both outputs can be finely adjusted independently. Output 1 is programmable from 1 Hz to 800 MHz and can alternatively be used as a 1-PPS or NMEA output. Output 2 covers the range from 1 Hz to 1.4 GHz. Both outputs are adjustable with virtually any frequency resolution.

The output signal is a 3.3 V CMOS square wave with 50 Ω source impedance and can be used directly by most measuring and RF devices. The scope of delivery includes an active GPS antenna with a 5 m cable and magnetic base.

A GPS signal is required for operation. A temporary loss is processed seamlessly—without frequency or phase jumps.
