The Rigol RSA800 series consists of compact and lightweight real-time spectrum analyzers. Developers working in the fields of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IoT, or NFC face particular challenges with complex and frequency-agile RF signals such as frequency hopping, channel overlap, and interference. Real-time spectrum analyzers offer the ideal solution here, since, unlike standard spectrum analyzers, they also examine the temporal behavior of RF signals, thereby enabling or simplifying the analysis of complex RF systems.

Rigol’s RSA800 series expands the capabilities of a standard spectrum analyzer with trigger, recording, and analysis capabilities in the time domain, setting a new benchmark for value for money. The devices feature a 7-inch (17.78 cm) touchscreen, a compact design, ease of use, and a real-time and analysis bandwidth ranging from 1 Hz to 40 MHz.

This makes the RSA800 series ideal for developers and test engineers working with IoT, RFID, NFC, and other analog or digitally modulated signals. Embedded design engineers can correlate bus control signals with events in the radio frequency domain using trigger input/output functions.

The 40 MHz real-time bandwidth, combined with the frequency mask trigger and spectrogram, enables the capture, isolation, and analysis of signals through display in the amplitude, frequency, and time domains. In addition, the RSA800 features a displayed average noise level (DANL) of -168 dBm (typical).
