Tekbox Line Impedance Stabilisation Networks

LISNs are key components in EMC testing. To monitor for unwanted emissions on the supply line, the LISN is inserted into the supply line of the DUT and used in conjunction with a test receiver or spectrum analyser. Typically, the receiver or spectrum analyser is controlled by software such as EMCview. The software ensures that the analyser settings comply with the CISPR 16 specifications and allows you to load and run preconfigured tests for all major EMC standards. Measurement data points are plotted against the limits of the selected standard and can be exported as a test report.

One of the most important features of a LISN is that it provides a fixed source impedance for the DUT. This ensures that the measurement is repeatable regardless of the output impedance of the power source used. This feature is also used in many other EMC test setups where LISNs are used to establish a fixed supply impedance rather than to measure radiated emissions. As a result, LISNs can be found in test setups for radiated emissions, immunity testing and a variety of other applications.
